Athletics team (Shot-Put, Hammer Throw, Discus Throw)

I started my journey of SPARDHA from the 1st year. I still remember the date 15 of august 2007...Guys were called for athletics selection, and I also went there...I was thrilled with the huge number of participation there...And that was really cool to see. I got selected in shot put. I was very inclined towards sports since school level and participated in many of them like cricket, football, athletics, and badminton. I also played the inter hostel ADEL memorial football 2007 at right out position from Limbdi hostel...We made it to the semifinal...Later on I concentrated more on the shot put ..Which helped me in bagging two silvers at VELOCITY 2008, but at SPARDHA I made it to the 4th position in shot put and hammer throw...A real bad luck...But later, When I heard about the IIT Kanpur sports trip (UDGHOSH- 2008)...I again got boosted up with enthusiasm and practiced a lot...Under the guidance of Arun bhaiya and his encouragement, I won gold there..

Well SPARDHA has given me many unforgettable moments. I really feel very proud to be a part of SPARDHA-2009. I learned to give my best every time when I am in arena. Sports demand perfect synchronization of mind and body and that helped me making me mentally and physically strong. I also learned that there is no alternative to hard work, there is no shortcut, and hard work always pays. I am still moving forward towards excellence with the “not giving up” attitude...

As SPARDHA had always been a hub for competitors from different regions of India, so I’m expecting a good and tough competition in SPARDHA-09. “SPARDHA ROXX” as always……..
